About Johnnie

Johnnie began his physical therapy career in 1998 after earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1994 and his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Mobile in 1998. He later completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Alabama State University in 2010, and has since earned fellowship status with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT) — one of the most advanced credentials in the profession — along with his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist designation and dry needling certification.

Throughout his career, Johnnie has been driven by a deep commitment to understanding and advancing the identification, management, and prevention of movement-related conditions. He approaches his work with continuous pursuit of education, ensuring his clinical expertise reflects the latest in movement science and orthopedic manual therapy. Serving as Director of Clinical Development, he now brings that knowledge to bear across the entire practice.

He considers himself "truly blessed to be able to make a difference in the lives of his patients by helping them remove barriers to optimal movement, restore lost function, achieve better overall health, and improve their quality of life" — a belief that guides everything he does.
